Glory Key – Partner Contacts

2 Timothy 2:20 Now in a large house there are not only vessels of gold and silver, but also vessels of wood and of earthenware, and some are for honorable (noble, good) use and some for dishonorable (ignoble, common).”

Matthew 18:19 “Again I say to you, that if two believers on earth agree about anything that they ask, it will be done for them by My Father in heaven.

Luke 10:1 “Now after this the Lord appointed?seventy others, and sent them out ahead of Him, two by two, into every city and place where He was about to go.”

Why did Yeshua send out His disciples into the surrounding cities 2 by 2? He did not send them out alone because they would have been more open to doubt and temptation and discouragement. Going 2 by 2, they would give and receive vital words of encouragement, support and accountability from one another as they stepped into their new-found destinies as ambassadors for Christ.

We live in a culture of isolation where everyone runs home to their TV’s, computers, ipods and cellphones. Our mind-set is to do things on our own maybe because we are fearful of being too exposed to people’s criticisms. We don’t like being held accountable – it’s a form of submission that doesn’t sit too well with our flesh.

Years ago in our neighborhood while driving home, I noticed all the lit up TV’s through the neighbor’s windows. Nobody was outside and I knew maybe 3 of my neighbors. I was determined to change that and started a neighborhood newsletter to give people a chance to communicate with one another. We did see more of a sense of community on the streets around us and developed more friendships.

The Christian life cannot be fully realized if we stay in isolation and there is so much potential for us to grow, remember moving from faith to faith and glory to glory? Looking to advance in our identities as  ambassadors for Christ, we have taken a path that will bring us to many necessary challenges and tests.

A fellow Christian partner that we can trust and turn to for support and accountability is crucial to our success, becoming vessels of honor ( 2Tim 2:20) in Yahweh’s kingdom. It is also important that we embrace and exercise the power of agreement that is released when 2 or more are gathered…

Assignment: Start your search now for who this partner may be for you and your journey as God’s Glory ambassador.
