What Does God See When He Looks at Me?
What does God see when He looks at me? Meditating on these Scriptures below helps us in answering this important question:
Jeremiah 29:13 “And you will seek Me and find Me, when you search for Me with all your heart.”
Job 5:8 “But as for me, I would seek God, And to God I would commit my cause—“
Lamentations 3:40-41 “Let us search out and examine our ways, And turn back to the Lord; Let us lift our hearts and hands To God in heaven.”
Psalm 14:2 “The Lord looks down from heaven upon the children of men, To see if there are any who understand, who seek God.”
Proverbs 8:17 “I love those who love me,
And those who seek me diligently will find me.”
Ezekiel 8:4-9 “And behold, the glory of the God of Israel was there, like the vision that I saw in the plain. Then He said to me, “Son of man, lift your eyes now toward the north.” So I lifted my eyes toward the north, and there, north of the altar gate, was this image of jealousy in the entrance. Furthermore He said to me, “Son of man, do you see what they are doing, the great abominations that the house of Israel commits here, to make Me go far away from My sanctuary? What does God see when He looks upon us? During these days of Awe as we continue to examine ourselves, let us ask the Lord what He sees and what He wants to see in us? Let’s enjoy this day by spending time meditating on these scriptures and hearing His voice.
Prayer: Lord, help me to search for You with all my heart. Show me what You see when You look at me; and show me what You would like to see.
