OUR 7 DAY SCRIPTURE PRAYER CHALLENGE
LOVE HIM MOST
Psalm 119:37
Turn my eyes away from vanity [all those worldly, meaningless things that distract—let Your priorities BE MINE], And restore me [with renewed energy] in Your ways.
USE THE NEXT 7 DAYS TO TELL GOD HOW MUCH YOU LOVE HIM AND WANT TO KNOW HIM MORE, PLEASE HIM MORE, AND BE COMPLETELY HIS.
DAY 1:
Matthew 6:31-33
31 Therefore do not worry or be anxious (perpetually uneasy, distracted), saying, ‘What are we going to eat?’ or ‘What are we going to drink?’ or ‘What are we going to wear?’ 32 For the [pagan] Gentiles eagerly seek all these things; [but do not worry,] for your heavenly Father knows that you need them. 33 But first and most importantly seek (aim at, strive after) His kingdom and His righteousness [His way of doing and being right—the attitude and character of God], and all these things will be given to you also.
Father, thank you for your love for me. I want to grow in my love for you like never before. There are so many concerns all around us, help me to not be anxious about anything. I know you will supply all of my needs, as well as the needs of those I am praying for. I want to fully seek your Kingdom and your righteousness first. Help me to be like you, reflecting your attitude and character in all I do. I trust that if I do this, all things will be given to me.
DAY 2: Matthew 22:37-39
37 And Jesus replied to him, “ ‘You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind.’ 38 This is the first and greatest commandment. 39 The second is like it, ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself [that is, unselfishly seek the best or higher good for others].’
Father, May I truly love you with all my heart, with all my soul, and with all my mind. Show me if I have anything in my heart above you. Teach me to love my neighbor, seeking the best or higher good for everyone. I want to fulfill your greatest 2 commandments which are really all about love.
DAY 3: 1 John 4:8
8 The one who does not love has not become acquainted with God [does not and never did know Him], for God is love. [He is the originator of love, and it is an enduring attribute of His nature.]
God, I want to know you. Help me to be fully acquainted with you. You are Love and You are the originator of love. May Your enduring attribute of love, your nature become full within me. I know you created me in Your image, and nothing is impossible with You.
DAY 4: Deuteronomy 6:5
5 You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and mind and with all your soul and with all your strength [your entire being].
Lord, I want to love you with my entire being. Help me to really love you with all my heart, with all my mind, with all my soul, and with all my strength. I want this love to be obvious to all. Be mine now and always Yahweh!
DAY 5: Deuteronomy 7:9
9 Therefore know [without any doubt] and understand that the Lord your God, He is God, the faithful God, who is keeping His covenant and His [steadfast] lovingkindness to a thousand generations with those who love Him and keep His commandments;
May I know without doubt, and truly understand who You are. You are a Faithful Father. I know You keep Your Word and Your covenants. I believe you are Love, and you would never lie. I have seen and I have felt your lovingkindness, and I know it is extended to a thousand generations. May my love be true; I want to keep your commandments!
DAY 6: Hebrews 11:6
6 But without faith it is impossible to [walk with God and] please Him, for whoever comes [near] to God must [necessarily] believe that God exists and that He rewards those who [earnestly and diligently] seek Him.
I want to please you, God. I do believe you are faithful, May my walk with you please you. I draw near to you with all my heart. I believe you not only exist, but also reward those who earnestly and diligently seek You. I am sincerely and diligently seeking You. From this day forward, I will moment by moment choose faith over doubt or fear. May my faith grow day by day as it is my desire to please you with all my heart.
DAY 7: Deuteronomy 10:12
12 “And now, Israel, what does the Lord your God require from you, but to fear [and worship] the Lord your God [with awe-filled reverence and profound respect], to walk [that is, to live each and every day] in all His ways and to love Him, and to serve the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul [your choices, your thoughts, your whole being],
Lord God, I want to fear and worship you with awe-filled reverence and profound respect. Help me to live each and every day in all of Your ways. May I love and serve you with all MY heart, with all MY soul, with MY choices, with all MY thoughts, and with MY entire being. BE MINE!
God: You are Mine-Malachi 3:17
17 “They will be Mine,” says the Lord of hosts, “on that day when I publicly recognize them and openly declare them to be My own possession [that is, My very special treasure]. And I will have compassion on them and spare them as a man spares his own son who serves him.”
