He Healed All
Matthew 4:23 “And Jesus went about all Galilee, teaching in their synagogues, preaching the gospel of the kingdom, and healing all kinds of sickness and all kinds of disease among the people.”
Matthew 13:58 “Now He did not do many mighty works there because of their unbelief.”
Mark 5:4-6 “But Jesus said to them, “A prophet is not without honor except in his own country, among his own relatives, and in his own house.” Now He could do no mighty work there, except that He laid His hand on a few sick people and healed them. And He marveled because of their unbelief. Then He went about the villages in a circuit teaching.”
We need to always take the Lord at His Word. He would not lie to us. (Numbers 23:19 “God is not a man, that He should lie, nor a son of man, that He should repent. Has he said, and will he not do? Or has He spoken, and He not make it good?”)
We can see here Jesus was easily healing many; and yet, unbelief kept Him from doing His wonders! We need to change our minds, force ourselves to not allow one thought of unbelief to enter. Just like He told the ruler of the synagogue, our answer must always be to “Only Believe!”
Mark 5:35-36 “While he yet had spoken, there came from the ruler of the synagogue’s house certain which said, Thy daughter is dead; why trouble the Master any further? As soon as Jesus heard the word that was spoken, He said to the ruler of the synagogue, “Do not be afraid; only believe.”
Prayer: Father, I repent for the sin of unbelief! May my response to everything in my life to be to, “Only Believe” and to totally trust You.
Confession: I am a believer! My desire is to “only believe”! I know You would never lie to me! I believe every letter and stroke of Your Word! I choose to live my life in a way that tells You, Most Heavenly Father and others, I “only believe”!
