Renewed Day by Day – Glory Key

Renewed Day by Day – Glory Key

Scriptures to help us see our Spirits renewed day by day:

2 Corinthians 4:16 For which cause we faint not; but though our outward man perish, yet.

1 Corinthians 3:9 “For we are laborers together with God: we are God’s husbandry, we are God’s building.

When We Were Born Again

When we were born again, Yeshua placed a mechanism of rejuvenation inside our spirit man allowing it to be renewed day by day. His Spirit within us is something like a spiritual fountain of youth. This renewal activator is a powerful key in overcoming the destructive forces in motion around us daily. The enemy has been very busy developing ways to rob us and destroy us. Once we stop rowing against this death flow, the destructive forces in our culture trying to bring us closer to death, we will lose ground. We cannot let that happen – we are called to be ambassadors to powerfully reflect God’s Glory wherever we go.

Is This An Automatic Thing?

Is this daily renewal of our spirit man (2 Cor 4:16) an automatic thing? If it was, Christians would be in much better shape. Since we are co-laborers with God (1 Cor 3:9) and not robots along for the ride, we have a part to play. It is easy but it does involve some action on our part to see our Spirit renewed day by day. We simply need to stay continually aware and trust that this renewal process is available to us if we cooperate.

This can be done by doing 2 things:

1) Ask the Holy Spirit what your “Renewal Identity” is to be called. In other words, what name or term best identifies the expression of His Glory in your life which He has planned for you.

2) Think of yourself frequently using that name and make a commitment to act upon this awareness in some way.

After spending time with the above assignment we can enjoy preparing for the Feast of Tabernacles beginning tomorrow evening. You may want to read Leviticus 23:34-44 and even consider making some sort of tabernacle elaborate or very simple. No laws to follow only a Great God to honor as you align yourself with His very own calendar. For more information you can download “My Jewish Cookbook” for free https://familylifewinners.com/gods-calendar-cookbook

I Speak Life

Glory Key – I Speak Life

We must continually remind ourselves, “I speak life.” The words that we use make a huge difference to the Lord and to everyone around us. Yeshua tells us in Matt.12 that we will be held accountable for our words. This is a truth we must not overlook. We are told to set a guard over our mouths in Ps. 141. Are we being instructed to watch how many chocolate bars or how many slices of cake we stuff in our mouths? Ha-ha, no indeed.

We were created in the image of our Heavenly Father and our words are powerful. He gave each of us the ability to impact or influence the things in our lives and in the lives of those who are close to us. Evidence of this is easily seen in the immediate effects we experience in words of anger or harsh criticism or encouragement that we hear on a daily basis.

Amazing Things Happen When We Speak Life

Amazing things happen when we speak God’s words over situations, whether we are speaking scriptures or words that the Holy Spirit has spoken to us. Our words can change the course of events just like the rudder of a ship. (James 3) Are our words making a difference?

Matthew 12:36 “But I say unto you, that every idle word that men shall speak, they shall give account thereof in the Day of Judgment.”

Proverbs 18:21Death and life are in the power of the tongue: and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof.”

1 Peter 3:10 “For let him who wants to enjoy life and see good days [good—whether apparent or not] keep his tongue free from evil and his lips from guile (treachery, deceit).”

Psalm 141:3 Set a watch, O Lord, before my mouth; keep the door of my lips.”

James 1:26 If any man among you seem to be religious, and bridles not his tongue, but deceives his own heart, this man’s religion is vain.

Proverbs 21:23 Whoever guards his mouth and tongue keeps his soul from troubles.”

Proverbs 18:4 “The words of a [discreet and wise] man’s mouth are like deep waters [plenteous and difficult to fathom], and the fountain of skillful and godly Wisdom is like a gushing stream [sparkling, fresh, pure, and life-giving].”

Prayer

Father, forgive me for any idle words I have spoken. Remind me that death and life are behind the power of my words on my tongue. Help me to keep my tongue from evil. May I speak no guile-convict me quickly. Set a watch before my mouth, Lord and keep the door of my lips. Teach me to guard my mouth. May my words be like deep waters and a fountain of skillful and Godly wisdom.

Confession: I will speak life!

Keys to Spiritual Growth- Glory Keys

Keys to Spiritual Growth

Faith is a Glory Key

Keys to spiritual growth are enabled by our faith. Christians in general tend to overlook Hebrews 11:6 where it says that without faith, it is impossible to please God. Why do we let this amazingly powerful truth get pushed to the back of the stove, or to the back of our garage workbench? This one scripture tells us our faith is a top priority and our faith walk can’t be ignored. The thought of hearing Christ saying,”oh you of puny faith”, is not very exciting.

What can we do to make our faith a priority? We must exercise our faith muscle! How? Bring faith in God’s Word and promises into every part of our lives.  Keys to Spiritual growth are found in these following steps:

  1. Seek out God’s word/instruction for situations we are facing,
  2. Speak that Word out loud over that situation,
  3. Thank Him for moving on our behalf,
  4. Be ready and attentive to obey and act as the Holy Spirit directs.

Exercise Our Faith

For instance, we feel like we are coming down with a nasty cold. We immediately find some scriptures on healing.  There maybe trouble with paying some bills, but instead of talking about the problem, we speak scriptures about our practical needs being supplied by God’s abundance.

Here is some encouragement: this is a growing process and there will be hurdles to deal with. The same goes for learning how to exercise our spiritual gifts using our keys to Spiritual growth. We don’t need to beat ourselves up if we make mistakes. Hey, we all start out with flabby faith muscles. The more we exercise our faith in various areas of our lives, we are moving closer or getting better at pleasing God. We will start hearing: “I have not found such great faith as here.” Matt 8:10

Let’s spend today gathering the key scriptures necessary. Decide to believe His Word over any circumstance or situation.  Exercise faith in our Faithful God!

In Awe of God

In Awe of God

Scriptures to ponder in awe of God:

Psalm 33:8 Let all the earth fear the Lord; Let all the inhabitants of the world stand in awe of Him.”

Proverbs 1:7 The [reverent] fear of the Lord is the beginning and the preeminent part of knowledge [its starting point and its essence]; But arrogant fools despise wisdom and instruction and self-discipline.

Deuteronomy 4:34

“Has any god ever tried to take for himself one nation out of another nation, by testings, by signs and wonders, by war, by a mighty hand and an outstretched arm, or by great and awesome deeds, like all the things the LORD your God did for you in Egypt before your very eyes?”

Nehemiah 9:32

“Now therefore, our God, the great God, mighty and awesome, who keeps his covenant of love, do not let all this hardship seem trifling in your eyes – the hardship that has come on us, on our kings and leaders, on our priests and prophets, on our ancestors and all your people, from the days of the kings of Assyria until today.”

Psalms 89:7

“In the council of the holy ones God is greatly feared; he is more awesome than all who surround him.”

Psalms 66:5

“Come and see what God has done, his awesome deeds for humankind!”

Psalms 65:5

“You answer us with awesome and righteous deeds, God our Savior, the hope of all the ends of the earth and of the farthest seas.”

Psalms 68:35

“You, God, are awesome in your sanctuary; the God of Israel gives power and strength to his people. Praise be to God!”

Psalms 66:3

“Say to God, “How awesome are your deeds! So great is your power that your enemies cringe before you.”

Let’s Spend Time in Awe of God Enjoying His Presence

Let’s spend time today focusing on His Awesomeness  and these Scriptures. He created this amazingly colorful beautifully enhanced world and every intricate creature within it. God painted the skies and the earth for our view. He added fragrance for our delight. Yahweh has done abundantly above wonders on our behalf.  Through our relationship with Him we are daily loaded with benefits.

Find ways to enjoy His presence and take in the beauty of His creation today. Take a walk, a hike, or enjoy a video tour of His works on the earth.

Confess and/or sing: Father, I stand in awe of You!

You are beautiful beyond description?
Too marvelous for words?
Too wonderful for comprehension?
Like nothing ever seen or heard?
Who can grasp your infinite wisdom?
Who can fathom the depth of your love?
You are beautiful beyond description?
Majesty enthroned above?
And I stand, I stand in awe of you?
I stand, I stand in awe of you?
Holy God to whom all praise is due?
I stand in awe of you.

Store Up Treasures in Heaven

Store Up Treasures in Heaven

It is wise to store up treasures in Heaven, and these Scriptures explain the significance:

Matthew 13:44 “The kingdom of heaven is like a [very precious] treasure hidden in a field, which a man found and hid again; then in his joy he goes and sells all he has and buys that field [securing the treasure for himself].

Matthew 6:19-21 “Do not store up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy, and where thieves break in and steal. But store up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust destroys, and where thieves do not break in and steal; for where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.

What do we treasure? Treasure is defined as a quantity of precious metals, gems, riches, valuables, jewels. Something we hold dear or place great value upon or esteem highly! Is His Word in that mix? His promises? Has He spoken to us something that we treasure beyond words? Is there a worship song that we cannot stop singing because it echoes our hearts cry? Has He performed a miracle that we cannot stop thanking Him for?

When I first became a born again Christian, I could not turn down an altar call, till I finally realized the completeness of His blood. At a particular conference I felt the Lord say to just let Him minister to me at the altar rather than going up for prayer. As I bowed before His altar, one of the children in the church came by and put a crown on my head. I didn’t see the child, in fact, he disappeared when I looked up. However, I treasured this crown as a gift from the Lord. I saved it all these years.

Since then, the Lord has used it to speak to my heart. He has given me scriptures regarding its meaning that I did not have in my spirit all those years ago. Treasuring every gift He gives is a way to show Him honor, and it opens the door for more treasures to come. As these “Days of Awe” wind down, let us spend this day searching for His treasure or examining our treasure chests to see what is inside.

My husband and I usually fast this night which is considered the beginning of Yom Kippur as Yahweh’s days begin at sundown. Tomorrow is the Highest Holy Day in God’s created calendar.

Prayer: Show me any treasure that has gripped my heart above You or Yours’! Thank you Father, for the work you have started within me. Keep my sin ever before me, and never let my heart deceive me. As I prepare for the Day of Atonement, cause my heart to be sensitive to Your every correction. Show me if you want me to fast or what to fast. In Yeshua’s Name, Amen!

Confession: Yahweh, Yeshua, RuahYou, Your Word, Your gifts, Your things are my treasure!

The Sin of Unbelief

Before looking at another thing, let’s look at the sin that keeps us from pleasing God. This is the sin of unbelief. Sometimes we tend to overlook this sin as being lessor to lying, lusting, murdering, etc. However to Yahweh it is totally grievous. We must confess this sin, and we must not tolerate unbelief.

Romans 14:23 But he who is uncertain [about eating a particular thing] is condemned if he eats, because he is not acting from faith. Whatever is not from faith is sin [whatever is done with doubt is sinful].”

Hebrews 11:6 But without faith it is impossible to [walk with God and] please Him, for whoever comes [near] to God must [necessarily] believe that God exists and that He rewards those who [earnestly and diligently] seek Him.”

As we talked about in the beginning of these “Days of Awe” we are supposed to walk in the crown of His glory. We are supposed to reign in life as kings and queens. Sin’s stain is the only thing that can keep us from inheriting that crown to wear for Him. As we come to the last days of this purification process, let’s spend time meditating and remembering who we are and what price He paid to give us crowns to wear to reign over ALL the power of the enemy.

Revelations 5:9-10 “And they sang a new song: Worthy! Take the scroll, open its seals. Slain! Paying in blood, you bought men and women, Bought them back from all over the earth,  Bought them back for God. Then you made them a Kingdom, Priests for our God,
Priest-kings to rule over the earth.”

Lamentations 5:16 The crown has fallen from our head [our honor is covered with dust]! Woe to us, for we have sinned!”

Prayer: Father, forgive me for any and all unbelief. Thank you for redeeming our sins by the sacrifice of Your Only Son! Help me to be the ruler His sacrifice provided for me and wear the crown His blood appropriated for me.

Confession: I will not doubt You Lord!

What Does God See When He Looks At Me?

What Does God See When He Looks at Me?

What does God see when He looks at me? Meditating on these Scriptures below helps us in answering this important question:

Jeremiah 29:13 And you will seek Me and find Me, when you search for Me  with all your heart.

Job 5:8 “But as for me, I would seek God, And to God I would commit my cause—

Lamentations 3:40-41 Let us search out and examine our ways, And turn back to the Lord; Let us lift our hearts and hands To God in heaven.

Psalm 14:2 “The Lord looks down from heaven upon the children of men, To see if there are any who understand, who seek God.”

Proverbs 8:17 I love those who love me,
And those who seek me diligently will find me.”

Ezekiel 8:4-9 “And behold, the glory of the God of Israel was there, like the vision that I saw in the plain. Then He said to me, “Son of man, lift your eyes now toward the north.” So I lifted my eyes toward the north, and there, north of the altar gate, was this image of jealousy in the entrance. Furthermore He said to me, “Son of man, do you see what they are doing, the great abominations that the house of Israel commits here, to make Me go far away from My sanctuary? Now turn again, you will see greater abominations.” So He brought me to the door of the court; and when I looked, there was a hole in the wall. Then He said to me, “Son of man, dig into the wall”; and when I dug into the wall, there was a door. And He said to me, “Go in, and see the wicked abominations which they are doing there.”

What does God see when He looks upon us? During these days of Awe as we continue to examine ourselves, let us ask the Lord what He sees and what He wants to see in us? Let’s enjoy this day by spending time meditating on these scriptures and hearing His voice.

Prayer: Lord, help me to search for You with all my heart. Show me what You see when You look at me; and show me what You would like to see.

Confession: I seek You and I search for You with all my heart. I am learning to understand You fully! I diligently seek You and I always find You!

Faith to Faith, Glory to Glory Devotional

2 Corinthians 5:17-21 “This means that anyone who belongs toThe Timing of God Christ has become a new person. The old life is gone – a new life has begun! And all of this is a gift from God, who brought us back to himself through Christ. And God has given us this task of reconciling people to him.For God was in Christ, reconciling the world to himself, no longer counting people’s sins against them. And he gave us this wonderful message of reconciliation. So we are Christ’s ambassadors; God is making his appeal through us. We speak for Christ when we plead, “Come back to God!”For God made Christ, who never sinned, to be the offering for our sin, so that we could be made right with God through Christ.”

Psalm 8:5Yet You have made him a little lower than God, And You have crowned him with glory and honor.”

When we became Christians, we also became representatives of the Kingdom of God – ambassadors. Those are some tremendous shoes to fill. Since Jesus dwells in us, His glory lives in us. Our job, whether we are brand new children of God or have been walking with Him 40+ years, is to reflect His glory, His love, His goodness wherever we go.

It takes faith to do this. That’s why our God’s Timing Calendar Devotional is based in many of the glory to glory and faith to faith passages. Our faith walk is a never-ending journey of advancing, learning, stumbling sometimes, but definitely growing in our God-given identity. Yeshua is the author and finisher of our faith. As we embrace Him, allow His Spirit to work within us, and exercise the measure of faith He has given us; we can watch His glory become brighter and brighter in our lives. His glory is there – we just need to let it shine through.

This is not usually achieved magically and we believe this Devotional will provide each of us with a helpful path to get there—to step more fully into our identities as ambassadors of Christ.

Tomorrow will begin a new year in God’s calendar. Though the 7th month in His calendar, this is when the New Year changes. Because of His great mercy, He brought a new beginning at Passover through the shed blood of His Only Begotten Son 7 months earlier. What a gracious Father, Creator!

Another name for Rosh Hashanah is the “Feast of Trumpets”. You may want to listen to a shofar or sound one on behalf of this new beginning straight from His heart to ours! In His calendar, days begin at sundown. Find a way to start this year with Him aligning with His times and seasons like never before.

Devotional Shevat 9, 5780 – Partners in Christ

Did you know that the vast majority of people who attempt a task or pursue some goal fail if they try to do it alone? The church’s mission to live and proclaim the Kingdom cannot fail. We are called the Body of Christ and that is because we are to function as a body collectively with its different body parts. We’re all brothers and sisters in Christ, or partners in Christ.

Yeshua sent His disciples out 2 by 2 to release a message of light and love and faith (Luke 10:1). They could have covered more ground if He sent them out by themselves. He knew that sending them 2 by 2 would avoid many unnecessary risks. They had partners to help hold themselves “accountable”, which is a dirty word nowadays.

While we must all start our journey of salvation with Christ in a private way, we must align ourselves with a trusted partner to help us stay on the path He has called us to and to be effective ministers. Yeshua sent them in pairs because He knew that would be the most effective way in dealing with obstacles and fulfilling their mission.

Who is your partner as you purpose to walk a life pleasing to Yahweh? While we are here to support and encourage you, you must seek out a trusted partner who will stay committed to you and stay faithful and true to your destiny in the Lord.

This may take some time but do not give up on this search for your partner in Christ.  We need earthly help as well if we are to move from faith to faith, glory to glory.

Devotional Shevat 1, 5780 – God’s Calendar Is Important

Does it make sense that the Creator of heaven and earth also created time? We see this when He set the sun and moon in motion on day 4 of creation. From this we measure the passage of time. Most of us don’t give much further thought to God’s hand on time which most likely occurs since we take it for granted like breathing.

We were all given a day of birth based on the Roman calendar when we entered the world but Yahweh provided a different calendar long before the Roman calendar. Do you think it would be important to follow that calendar since He created it?

He revealed this calendar to the Jewish people which we see explained for the first time in Exodus 12. There are numerous general references to months and years beginning in Genesis but Exodus is where we see the details for the first time. Yah provides these first details so that the Jewish people will be able to celebrate a special time every year in remembrance of what He did to deliver them from slavery in Egypt.

God’s calendar is referred to as the Hebrew or Jewish calendar because they follow this calendar according to their heritage which is so closely tied to the Old Testament. There are other well-known cultural calendars like the Chinese calendar. Just because it called the Jewish calendar, doesn’t mean it is only for Jewish people.

It is for anyone who wants to align their passing of time with God’s time. We invite everyone to take a serious look at God’s calendar, which includes His own holidays or times of feasting. These are times that He has set aside for us ti honor Him and celebrate His great love and plan for our lives.
