Faith vs. Worry

Is there any situation whereby it is good or necessary for Christians to get worried? Hmmmm. What did Yeshua tell His disciples when they were being tossed about and swamped in the boat? He asked them why did they have no faith.

Here was a situation that inspired worry which was actually fear in the disciples and was understandable. If we have any worry (fear) whatsoever about a situation, we actually are getting a warning flag that we are not in faith.

We must be radical about not allowing worry in our lives. It is quite understandable that non-believers would be overwhelmed with worry, but there is no excuse for us to give into the destructive influences of worry.

We believe that worry is a pattern of behavior and can even be a familial spirit that gets passed on from our families. It is very common in our culture and we can even get a lot of ridicule from family members when we refuse to give into worry.

When we give in to fear, we have become like the soil with thorns which chokes the Word (Yeshua) in our lives and stops fruit from being produced. This must not be allowed if we are to be effective Glory Ambassadors for Christ. There are no other options.

We must be sensitive to the presence of any worry that has crept into our minds and hearts. When we detect it, it is time to remember and act upon 1 Peter 5:7 by casting our cares (throwing off with great force) on Christ and Phil.4:6 by giving thanks as we make our requests known to Him.

Folks, this is not optional. We are commanded repeatedly in Scripture not to fear and we can no longer ignore this.
