Let My People Go

This was the unrelenting cry from Moses’ lips to pharoah in the book of Exodus: “Let my people go, that may serve Me, hold a feast to Me!” Plague after plague was released upon the land and the people of Egypt. Each plague was representing a false god that the Egyptians worshiped and served.

Some of you might remember Charleston Heston in the 10 Commandments or even the amazing animated version of this in the Prince of Egypt.

We hear the same cry going up into the heavenlies on behalf of the church.  What are we serving or holding a feast to instead of our  Savior Yeshua, instead of our Creator Yahweh? Is the core of our hearts to love the Lord with all we have and serve Him without wavering?

We are living in a society that is constantly trying to pull us into some type of bondage. We can’t pretend this isn’t happening. It surrounds us on the internet. We see evidence of this everyday in the news, on the big 100 inch flat screen TV’s in our living rooms, in our city halls and state capitols.

Passover is a celebration that God instituted not just for the deliverance of the Jewish people back in the Old Testament. It is a invitation to us now to celebrate His Son, the Passover Lamb, as our Mighty deliverer.

We all need to be delivered from something that is pulling us away from our destiny in Christ. Please take the time during this Passover season to ask the Holy Spirit to reveal those things that we have allowed to hinder our walk with the Lord. Ask Him for the humility to hear His correction, to repent, and to ask for true deliverance.

He is more than capable and willing and ready to do this as we ask.
